The Pirate Adventures Children's Treasure Hunt begins at Dead Dog Saloon, located at 4079 Hwy 17 Business South Murrells Inlet, South Carolina 29576. Murrells Inlet is about 10–12 miles South of the Myrtle Beach International Airport and five miles north of Brookgreen Gardens.
Upon arrival, you will check in at the ticket booth by the front stairs of the Dead Dog Saloon restaurant on the parking lot side. Once checked in, the staff will march the entire group down to the boat.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time (and no later than 15 minutes prior) so your children can get their free face painting, get dressed in a lucky treasure-hunting vest and receive their pirate name tag for the adventure. Once the entire crew is prepared for boarding, the Captain will greet everyone and then the real adventure begins. Allow time for traffic, parking and check-in.
Yes, complimentary parking is available onsite in the gravel lot across the street.
Yes, children must be supervised by at least one responsible adult. However, they recommend as many as want to can come and enjoy in their children or grandchildren’s experience!
Yes, supervising adults need their own tickets to be accounted for in the total passenger count.
Yes, there's possibly some overspray from a passing boat wake, as the water cannons fire into the wind and battle with Pirate Pete. Passengers typically stay dry on the boat.

Yes, take as many pictures as possible! However, video and audio recordings of the adventure's script and crew's dialogue are not permitted.
Although everybody is different, you or your children likely won’t get seasickness. The Sea Gypsy stays in the tranquil and protected body of water named Murrells Inlet; this is not an ocean going adventure.
No. However, it’s circumstantial to each individual and their equipment. The pirate ship door width is 2 feet and 4 inches. From the main Marsh Walk there is a ramp down to the boat dock. The ramp's steepness varies as the tides ebb and flood throughout the day. There is also a step at the bottom of the ramp and about a foot and a half step up into the pirate ship.
